Dengue cases continue to rise in ISLAMABAD, RAWALPINDI, and KARACHI

The country is in the midst of a dengue epidemic as cases increase in important areas like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s many cities, the federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.

The number of dengue cases reported in the federal capital over the previous day was up to 81, according to District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, bringing the season’s total number of infections to 2,072.

According to him, six persons in Islamabad had died from dengue.

There have been nine deaths in the province as a result of dengue fever, according to a report from the KP Directorate General Health Services.

At this point in the current season, the province has reported 5,315 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever. In contrast, in the previous day, 333 new cases in KP were reported.

The number of cases in Karachi, the country’s economic centre, surged by 330 in the previous day, bringing the total to 4,991 for the month. In the provincial capital, a total of 32 persons have passed away from viral infection.
