Court Rejected Anti-Corruption Establishment’s plea against Rana Sanaullah

RAWALPINDI: On Monday, a court rejected the Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) petition to arrest Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in contempt of court for refusing to appear at an inquiry.

After two PTI leaders were arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency on Saturday, a special judicial magistrate issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Sanaullah, which the Punjab government viewed as a tit-for-tat action (FIA).

According to an ACE Punjab spokesperson, the PML-N leader’s failure to show up for an investigation resulted in the issuance of a non-bailable arrest warrant.

The ACE court ordered the anti-graft watchdog team to continue working to get the minister arrested so they can bring him before the court for today’s session.
