COAS visits Thar to witness Jidarul Hadeed

On Monday, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Thar Desert near Chhor, Umarkot where the training center is located. At the center, COAS Bajwa witnessed the joint maneuvers of the defense role of infantry and mechanization.

The army chief witnessed Jidarul Hadeed, the training exercise wherein the capability of operations was tested in a simulated battlefield environment.

For the past two weeks, the troops had been deployed to exercise under these conditions which will end on February 28.

The COAS was informed about the aims and objectives of these ongoing exercises and drills/procedures to ensure that the troops are able to dominate any given battlefield.

Appreciating the training standards, the army chief expressed satisfaction with the preparedness and readiness of the troops in guaranteeing the prevalence of peace.

Upon his arrival, the army chief was welcomed by Corps Commander Lt. General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum.
