According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), officially inaugurated the Chaklala Cricket Ground.
According to the ISPR, “the cricket ground was upgraded to provide state-of-the-art sports facilities to cricket lovers, particularly to the youth of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.”
According to the military’s media wing, the recently completed sports complex will be open to students and cricket clubs from both cities in order to promote cricket and offer a healthy sporting atmosphere.
The Rawalpindi Corps’ efforts to renovate the old cricket field and give the city a top-notch facility for playing cricket were also praised by the army chief.
Taking on Twitter, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja stated that the Chaklala Cricket Ground will benefit the youth of the twin cities of Pindi and Islamabad. The army chief also praised the efforts of the Rawalpindi Corps.
