KARACHI: The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah ordered the authorities concerned on Thursday to arrest the culprit who allegedly sexually assaulted a veiled woman in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi.
According to Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has acknowledged the incident and directed the police to promptly apprehend the individual responsible for the heinous act.
In response, the police have established two teams to arrest the perpetrator.
The police have included Station House Officers (SHOs) from two police stations in the teams assigned to investigate the case. The department took notice of the incident after a video of the incident went viral. It is noted that a formal complaint has not yet been filed by the affected woman.
The police have expressed their determination to swiftly trace and apprehend the perpetrator. A video circulating on social media captured the distressing incident. It showed a man on a red motorcycle committing a sexual assault against a woman. The incident occurred in the Gulistan-e-Johar area.

The CCTV footage revealed that the man parked his motorcycle on a street and proceeded to remove his shorts. Subsequently, he attempted to assault a woman passing by in the street. However, the woman resisted and fought back, causing the assailant to flee from the scene immediately.
