LAHORE: The heat intensity in Lahore is on the rise, with temperatures expected to soar to 40°C in the coming week, the Meteorological Department reported today.
As of today, Lahore’s maximum temperature stands at 34°C, with the current reading at 31°C. The heatwave is set to intensify from Sunday onwards, with no rain relief in sight.
Weather Outlook & Precautions
Meteorologists warn that temperatures will continue to climb, urging residents to take necessary precautions against extreme heat. The persistent continental air mass is driving hot and dry conditions across most of the country.
On Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to remain 2 to 4°C above normal in Sindh and South Punjab, with widespread hot and dry weather.

Over the past 24 hours, most regions experienced dry weather, with light rain reported in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Pothohar region. Rainfall was recorded in:

- Kalam (2mm)
- Astore (1mm)
