CHINIOT: In yet another case of physical punishment in educational settings, a teacher shattered a girl student’s arm because she had trouble remembering the lesson, according to ARY News.
The event happened at the Girls Elementary School in the Chiniot neighbourhood of PS Rajua, when a teacher beat the pupil until she broke her arm for failing to retain the lesson.
When a student named Muskan claimed she couldn’t remember the lecture, the teacher allegedly tormented her with an iron rod. After receiving corporal punishment that resulted in her arm being dislocated, the pupil was sent to the hospital.
Notably, a bill banning all forms of corporal punishment in educational institutions was approved by the National Assembly.
