H.E. The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, receives a visit from Mr. Christian Turner, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, in his office today.
Today, H.E. Dr. Christian Turner, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, met with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, in his office. Mr. Kazim Niaz, the Federal Secretary EAD, Mr. Humair Karim, the Additional Secretary, and Ms. Jo Moir, the Development Director, FCDO of the Ministry of Economic Affairs all attended the meeting.
The Minister for Economic Affairs extended a hearty welcome to the British High Commissioner and recognised the importance of the UK as one of Pakistan’s main bilateral trading partners.
Mr. Turner expressed his sincere condolences for the fatalities and widespread destruction brought on by Pakistan’s tragic floods. He informed the Minister of the UK government’s assistance for flood relief and promised UK support for redevelopment that is climate-resilient. The Minister expressed appreciation for the thoughtful help.
