On the Western Bypass in Balochistan, unidentified armed men attacked a police vehicle, causing injuries to at least two officials.
According to the Police, a group of armed men opened fire on a police car, injuring two officers. The police officers who were hurt belonged to the CTD wing of the Counter-Terrorism Department.
The injured government officials were taken to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), according to the police.
The attackers were successful in leaving the area. A search operation will be conducted to find the attackers, and large law enforcement agency contingents have been mobilised to the scene of the incident.
Earlier on Friday, three terrorists were killed during a firefight with members of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar Region during a raid close to the Afghan border.

The alleged terrorists entered the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to CTD officials, and began plotting a significant terror attack (KP).
The CTD team was attacked by terrorists who opened fire, and the raiding team replied appropriately. After an extended period of exchanged fire, three terrorists were killed during a search and clearance operation.
