Meeting
Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad today, underscoring the strengthening ties between the two nations.
The meeting delved into various areas of mutual interest, with a particular focus on enhancing government-to-government cooperation in emerging technologies, notably drone technology, and collaboration in cyber and networking domains. Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the longstanding fraternal relations shared between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Furthermore, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, outlined the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) modernization efforts aimed at enhancing operational capabilities, particularly in Cyber, Space, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and other niche technologies.
He provided insights into ongoing projects and future plans of the PAF, aligning with evolving warfare dynamics. Stressing the religious and historical bonds between the two nations, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to its robust diplomatic, economic, and defense partnership with Bahrain, focusing on regional peace, security, and stability.
The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of PAF personnel and the remarkable progress made by the Pakistan Air Force.
Additionally, the Commander of the Bahrain National Guard visited the PAF Cyber Command, where he received a briefing on the operational capabilities of the PAF in the cyber domain.
Expressing keen interest in PAF’s advancements in the cyber realm, the Bahraini dignitary expressed intentions to send a specialized team to assess and address any technological gaps within the Bahrain Armed Forces’ architecture.
In response, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu assured full cooperation and support from the PAF in fortifying the technological frameworks of the Bahrain Armed Forces, underscoring the commitment to bilateral collaboration and shared security interests.
