Court approves an 11-day remand for the PTI founder and his wife. The Accountability Court in Islamabad has issued a written order for the physical remand of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in connection with the Toshakhana case.
The court has directed that both individuals be presented again on August 19, along with a progress report on the investigation.
According to the court’s order, further investigation is needed, including recording the statements of the former Prime Minister’s ADC and other protocol staff members.
The court emphasized the importance of questioning the accused about recent revelations from the ADC and tracing additional jewelry items that were allegedly purchased.
While a questionnaire has already been provided to the accused, their statements have yet to be officially recorded.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had requested a 14-day physical remand, but the court granted an 11-day remand instead.
