ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority has introduced new digital services for people involved in buying and selling vehicles.
The authority released version 5.6.8 of the Pak ID mobile application with new features designed to simplify vehicle transactions.
In collaboration with the Government of Balochistan, NADRA has introduced digital vehicle cards for vehicles registered in the province.
The updated application also provides biometric verification services for vehicle buying and selling.
According to NADRA, citizens can now access these services from their homes without visiting offices for every transaction.
The new facilities aim to make vehicle transfers more convenient, secure and efficient for citizens.
Furthermore, digital identity verification could help strengthen security during vehicle ownership transfers and reduce administrative delays.
The initiative forms part of NADRA’s broader efforts to expand digital services in areas requiring secure identity verification.
Meanwhile, the authority has previously introduced self-service kiosks at selected NADRA centres across the country.
Through these kiosks, citizens can renew their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis.
Users can also apply for replacement NICOP cards if their existing documents are lost or damaged.
Additionally, the kiosks allow citizens to cancel the NICOP of a deceased family member.
These services provide an alternative to traditional procedures and aim to improve public access to identity-related services.
The latest Pak ID application update further expands NADRA’s digital service network by addressing vehicle-related transactions.
Consequently, citizens involved in vehicle transfers in Balochistan can now complete biometric verification through a more accessible digital process.
The authority expects the new services to improve convenience while strengthening identity verification during vehicle transactions.
However, users should ensure they have the required documents and follow official application procedures when using the updated services.
NADRA continues expanding digital facilities as part of efforts to provide faster and more convenient services to citizens across Pakistan.
