Police arrested social media influencer Nadeem Mubarak, known as Nadeem Nani Wala, in Lahore. Authorities registered a case against him for alleged reckless driving. They also accused him of interfering with official duties during the incident.
According to police, officials lodged the case at Defence C Police Station. Traffic police officer Fahad-ur-Rehman filed the complaint against the influencer. Consequently, police included charges of negligent driving and obstruction of official duties.
Police Allege Dangerous Driving During Chase
The First Information Report outlined several allegations against the suspect. Traffic officers signaled an unregistered vehicle with tinted windows to stop. However, the driver allegedly ignored the signal and accelerated away. Police claimed the vehicle entered a one-way road against traffic. As a result, officers launched a pursuit to stop the vehicle.
Furthermore, the FIR stated that the suspect attempted to hit a police vehicle. Authorities described the incident as a serious traffic violation. Therefore, police intensified efforts to apprehend the driver.
Authorities Continue Crackdown on Traffic Violations
According to officials, the driver later parked the vehicle in Defence Phase 7. Police alleged that he continued threatening traffic officers on duty. Moreover, authorities accused him of issuing verbal threats during the confrontation.
Meanwhile, traffic authorities reaffirmed their commitment to enforcing traffic regulations. Officials stated that operations against illegal number plates remain ongoing. They also continue action against tinted windows and unauthorized beacon lights. In addition, authorities emphasized that enforcement measures apply equally to everyone.
Police officials stressed that no individual will receive special treatment. They reiterated that traffic law violators will face legal action. The investigation into the case remains underway.
