ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced that it will auction several high-value properties belonging to real estate magnate Malik Riaz on August 7, 2025, in connection with the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case.
The auction is scheduled to take place at NAB’s Rawalpindi office, located in G-6/1, Islamabad. However, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved its verdict on petitions filed against the proposed sale of the properties, potentially affecting the process.
According to NAB, the properties slated for auction include prominent commercial, educational, and recreational assets within Bahria Town Rawalpindi and Islamabad. These include:
- Bahria Town Corporate Office II, Plot No. 7-D, Park Road, Phase II, Rawalpindi
- Bahria Town Corporate Office, Plot No. 7-E, Park Road, Phase II, Rawalpindi
- Rubbish Market & Lawn, near Bahria Garden City Golf Course, Islamabad
- Arena Cinema, Plot No. 984-Broad-A, Phase IV, Rawalpindi
- Bahria Town International Academy, Jasmine Street & Silver Oaks Road, Zero Villas I, Rawalpindi
- Safari Club, Plot No. 27, Safari Villas, Bahria Town, Rawalpindi
These assets were attached by NAB as part of the recovery process following a plea bargain deal in the high-profile Al-Qadir Trust investigation.
The final decision on whether the auction proceeds as planned now hinges on the outcome of the IHC’s reserved judgment.
