ISLAMABAD: Police have registered a murder case following the tragic killing of 17-year-old TikTok star Sana Yousuf, who was shot dead at her residence in Islamabad’s G-13 sector on Tuesday.
According to officials from the Sumbal police station, the incident occurred around 5-pm when an unidentified assailant entered Sana’s home and opened fire, striking her twice in the chest. The attacker fled the scene after the shooting.
Originally from Upper Chitral, Sana was rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The FIR was registered against unknown suspects based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, who stated that she could identify the perpetrator if seen again.
Police sources suspect the killer may have been a guest present at the house at the time of the incident. The motive remains unclear, and a full investigation is underway.
Sana Yousuf was a well-known figure on TikTok, with a large following. Her body has been sent to PIMS for a post-mortem examination as authorities continue to gather evidence.
