Motorola has unveiled a stunning special edition of its Edge 70 smartphone, celebrating Pantone’s newly announced Color of the Year 2026, Cloud Dancer. This exclusive variant combines luxury design elements with cutting-edge technology, targeting premium smartphone enthusiasts.
The Edge 70 originally launched in October with three Pantone-inspired colorways: Gadget Gray, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green. Now, the Cloud Dancer edition introduces an elegant aesthetic featuring an airy white finish that carries just the faintest hint of grey, making it remarkably versatile.
What sets this special edition apart is its incorporation of Swarovski crystals, adding premium appeal to an already sophisticated device. Motorola describes the crystals as bringing “an ethereal touch that allows creativity to breathe and focus to deepen, bringing peace back to our pockets, palms, and digital lives.”
Cloud Dancer represents clarity over clutter and softness over spectacle, reflecting contemporary design trends toward minimalism and tranquility. This marks the first time Pantone has chosen white as Color of the Year since the designation began in 1999, making this collaboration particularly significant.
The Motorola Edge 70 features impressive specifications including 5G connectivity, advanced camera systems, and powerful processing capabilities. The device runs on near-stock Android, providing a clean user experience that complements the Cloud Dancer edition’s minimalist aesthetic.
While Motorola confirmed the special edition will launch in “select markets worldwide,” specific pricing and availability dates remain unannounced. Industry experts anticipate premium pricing given the Swarovski crystal embellishments and limited-edition status.
