ISLAMABAD: A member of the National Assembly has levelled serious allegations against the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta. Malik Adil Khan Bazai claimed the DC sent him a girl’s phone number and later threatened him after he refused to meet her.
Shocking claims made in National Assembly
Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday, the MNA from Balochistan said the Quetta DC contacted him and shared the girl’s number. When Bazai asked why he should meet her, the DC reportedly replied that the girl was a big fan of him. The lawmaker refused the suggestion.
Moreover, he alleged that the DC became annoyed and warned him that he had done the right thing by demolishing his plaza. “You deserve this,” the DC allegedly told him. The officer later added threatening words: “We will see what you are.” Bazai demanded a transparent and impartial inquiry into the entire episode so that the facts come before the public.
Call for immediate investigation
The MNA raised the issue during the House proceedings and urged the National Assembly to take notice of the matter. He expressed concern over the conduct of a senior administrative officer and called for strict action if the allegations prove true. Many lawmakers listened attentively as the incident sparked immediate discussion inside the House.
This development highlights growing tensions between elected representatives and local administration in Balochistan. Citizens now wait to see how authorities respond to these serious claims. The case has drawn public attention because it involves misuse of official position and personal harassment.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly Speaker also took up other matters during the session. He sought explanations from the Ministry of Finance and FBR over delayed replies to questions. The House continues to address both administrative and legislative issues as it moves forward with its agenda.
