A Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) officer has allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Shujabad, Punjab. Police said the accused allegedly took the woman to an isolated location after offering to drop her home. The incident reportedly occurred after she visited the area as a guest. The accused was identified as Mazhar, who serves as a Line Superintendent at the Sikandarabad Sub-Division.
According to police, Mazhar offered the woman a ride home. However, he allegedly drove her to a deserted orchard instead. Police said the alleged assault took place inside his car. The woman reportedly raised an alarm during the incident.
Her cries alerted nearby residents, who soon reached the location. The accused allegedly fled after noticing people approaching the area.
