LONDON: A reported sighting of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, at Soho Farmhouse has fuelled speculation that she and Prince Harry may be settling in the Cotswolds after returning to England.
Royalist correspondent Tom Sykes reported that Meghan arrived at the exclusive Oxfordshire retreat before 9am for coffee and was introduced to senior staff members.
However, neither the Sussexes nor Soho House has confirmed that the family is living near the private members’ club. A spokesperson for the couple declined to comment.
Sussexes Have Longstanding Links to Oxfordshire
The couple previously rented a home in Great Tew, close to Soho Farmhouse, while they were working royals. Harry later wrote in his memoir “Spare” that they had considered moving to Oxfordshire permanently because they enjoyed its countryside and privacy.
Moreover, Meghan has longstanding connections with Soho House. She and Harry held their first date at its Dean Street venue, while she previously visited Soho Farmhouse and reportedly held her 2018 hen party there.
Local reports have also suggested the Sussexes could be establishing a base in the area.
Harry Prepares for UK Charitable Engagements
Meanwhile, Harry has several upcoming commitments in Britain, including the WellChild Awards in London later this month. He is also preparing for next summer’s Invictus Games in Birmingham.
Reports have suggested Meghan may consider returning to acting after recently acknowledging that she sometimes misses her former profession.
King Charles reportedly reiterated to the government on Monday that the Sussexes would live as private citizens in Britain, giving them greater financial independence and privacy.
The couple moved to California after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Their reported Oxfordshire presence has now renewed speculation about a longer-term UK base.
