Meghan Markle has reportedly faced a new privacy and security concern after her mobile phone number was allegedly circulated among parents at the school attended by Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to reports, Meghan joined a WhatsApp group for parents shortly before her children began attending the school. A screenshot reportedly taken from a group titled “Year 3” showed the Duchess of Sussex introducing herself and thanking other parents for their welcome.
However, Harry and Meghan have not publicly commented on the alleged circulation of her number.
Security Concerns Reportedly Prompt School Change
The reported privacy issue emerged amid claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to withdraw their children from the school because of concerns surrounding their daily commute.
Reports said their security team became concerned about heavy traffic during drop-off and collection times. A journey normally taking about 35 minutes could reportedly extend to an hour, while stationary traffic sometimes separated vehicles in their security convoy.
Friends of the couple reportedly stressed that the decision concerned the journey rather than the school itself.
Archie and Lilibet Expected to Move Schools
Meanwhile, Archie and Lilibet are reportedly expected to attend another school where they previously completed taster sessions.
The alternative school reportedly offers a shorter commute, easing concerns among the Sussexes’ security personnel.
Additionally, the developments come as Prince Harry’s security arrangements in Britain reportedly undergo review by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee.
Harry has previously challenged decisions concerning his access to automatic police protection after stepping back from royal duties and relocating to the United States.
Reports suggest the current security review covers both Harry and Meghan as the family spends more time in Britain.
