In the UAE, an 8-year-old Emirati boy named Majed Omar has become widely known as the “Sheikh of Happiness” for his heartwarming mission to bring smiles to people’s faces. Driving a miniature black Mercedes with a national 971 number plate, Majed tours institutions, offering red roses and kind words to brighten employees’ days.
His journey began during Ramadan 2025, when he first handed out flowers at an exhibition. The overwhelmingly positive response inspired him to continue spreading joy across the community. Dressed in a traditional bisht and Emirati turban, Majed sees himself transform from an ordinary child into someone devoted to making others happy whenever he sets out on his happiness tours.
Majed recently met Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of Planning and Municipality Department in Ajman, who praised his thoughtful initiative and encouraged him to excel in his studies so he could contribute to society in the future. During the meeting, Majed offered the Sheikh a box of sweets, expressing his gratitude for the support he received.
Majed credits his late father as his inspiration and his older brother Khalid for motivating him to become “the reason behind people’s smiles.” For Majed, spreading happiness is simple—whether through a kind word, a flower, or a gentle gesture.
One moment that deeply moved him was when he gifted a flower to an elderly man who replied, “You’ve made my day.” Such moments keep Majed determined to share kindness wherever he goes.
Supported by his family, teachers, and classmates, Majed’s mission has grown, touching more lives across Sharjah and beyond. His dedication shows that even small acts can create lasting impact, reminding everyone that positivity often returns in beautiful ways.
