Students preparing for admission to medical and dental colleges can now mark their calendars as the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 schedule has officially been announced.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has released the complete testing timeline for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes across Pakistan.
According to the announced schedule, MDCAT 2026 will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and the examination will begin simultaneously across designated centers at 10:00 am.
The announcement gives aspiring candidates a clearer timeline to plan their preparation and complete registration within the required period.
MDCAT 2026 Test to Be Conducted Across Pakistan
Different public sector institutions have been assigned responsibility for conducting the examination in their respective regions.
In Punjab, the examination will be conducted by the University of Health Sciences Lahore.
For Sindh, responsibility has been assigned to Sukkur IBA.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the examination process will be managed by Khyber Medical University.
Meanwhile, candidates appearing in Balochistan will sit the examination under Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta.
Students from Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will appear through arrangements made by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad.
The same university has also been assigned responsibility for candidates appearing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This arrangement aims to streamline testing operations and ensure uniform examination standards.
Registration Dates and Application Timeline
Online registration for MDCAT 2026 will begin on June 22, 2026.
Candidates will be required to complete their applications through the official registration process announced through public notice.
The last date for registration with the normal fee has been fixed as July 8, 2026.
However, students who miss the regular deadline will still have an opportunity to apply through late registration until July 13, 2026.
Applicants are encouraged to avoid waiting until the final days because delays may create unnecessary complications during submission.
MDCAT 2026 Registration Fee Details
The registration fee structure differs for local and international test centers.
For candidates appearing at test centers within Pakistan, the registration fee has been fixed at Rs9,000.
Students applying after the standard deadline will be required to pay a late registration fee of Rs13,000.
For international candidates, the registration fee has been set at Rs45,000.
Meanwhile, late registration for international centers will cost Rs55,000.
Authorities have clarified that all registration fees will remain non-refundable and non-transferable.

Students planning to appear in MDCAT 2026 should complete registration within the announced period and regularly monitor updates.
Candidates have also been advised to continue checking the websites of their respective universities for admission instructions and additional details.
