The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 will use separate question papers for each province.
Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal said universities conducting the test must ensure a fair and transparent examination.
He made the remarks during a press conference at the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) on Wednesday.
MDCAT 2026 on September 20
The MDCAT 2026 will be held on September 20 across Pakistan.
The examination will take place in 34 cities and towns.
An international examination centre will also operate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A total of 138,160 candidates have registered for the test.
8,000 Questions Prepared
PM&DC has prepared a question bank containing around 8,000 questions.
Around 80 subject experts contributed to the question bank.
The entire preparation process was conducted under strict security arrangements.
Each province has received at least two separate question papers.
Each paper contains 180 questions.
Universities Responsible for Examination
Minister Mustafa Kamal said PM&DC has completed its assigned responsibilities.
These include candidate registration and sharing candidate data with provincial authorities and universities.
PM&DC has also provided a uniform syllabus and question bank.
The designated universities will handle the printing, storage and transportation of examination papers.
They will also be responsible for declaring the results.
Universities to Face Accountability
Kamal said provincial authorities and universities must ensure proper security and examination arrangements.
He warned that universities would be held responsible if question papers are leaked.
They will also be accountable for any failure to maintain transparency during the examination.
