Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were rocked by violent explosions early Thursday morning as Iran launched a fresh wave of missiles, marking a dramatic escalation in the ongoing conflict.
Air raid sirens wailed across multiple regions of Israel as the military confirmed incoming Iranian missiles and urged residents to take immediate shelter. The strikes represent the most intense attacks since hostilities between Iran and Israel erupted a week ago.
The explosions heard in Jerusalem around 7:10 AM local time (0410 GMT) were the most powerful since the conflict began.
Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency confirmed that a “new wave of missiles” had been fired toward Israel.
Israeli media have reported at least four confirmed impact sites across the country. An Israeli military official stated that several of the missiles struck civilian areas, including a hospital in southern Israel, after Iran launched dozens of projectiles.
The attack underscores a sharp intensification in direct military confrontation between the two regional adversaries, raising fears of a broader conflict in the Middle East.
