Police in Hyderabad have arrested a man for allegedly killing his friend and burying his body inside his house. Authorities said the incident occurred about a week ago, while investigators launched a probe after the victim’s family reported his disappearance.
Police identified the victim as Aashiq Solangi, who had been missing for around two weeks. His family had initially registered a kidnapping case, prompting investigators to examine his movements and possible whereabouts.
Suspect Arrested During Investigation
According to police, investigators arrested the suspect, identified as Qadir, after developing information about the alleged murder. Authorities said the suspect confessed during questioning that he had killed his friend and buried his body inside his home.
The police have not yet disclosed the motive behind the alleged killing. However, investigators are continuing to question the suspect to determine what led to the incident and establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police Plan Exhumation and Postmortem
Authorities said the victim’s body remains buried inside the suspect’s house in Hyderabad. Therefore, police will carry out an exhumation under legal supervision before sending the body for a postmortem examination.
The postmortem will help investigators determine the cause of death and provide further evidence in the case. Meanwhile, police are gathering additional information and examining the circumstances that preceded Aashiq’s disappearance.
Officials said further details could emerge after the exhumation and postmortem. The investigation remains underway as authorities work to establish the full sequence of events and determine the exact motive behind the alleged murder.
