The remarks came after questions were raised about alleged links between Pakistan and the April 2025 Pahalgam attack.

The Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir in April 2025 killed 26 tourists.
India accused Pakistan of involvement without presenting evidence, while Islamabad strongly rejected the allegations and called for an impartial investigation.
