Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Pakistan’s federal minister of water resources, has stated that no cases related to the Madina event should be filed in Pakistan, and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah should give the matter some serious consideration.
The PTI members should not have been prosecuted, he argued, and only those who took the law into their own hands in Pakistan should be punished. If someone disrespected the sacred site, Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) would punish him.
During the days of Eid, Shah said to several people: “We don’t believe in political victimisation. ” If Imran Khan has the right to protest, we would never disagree with it. Protesters should not be detained for peacefully participating in a long march if they want to bring millions of people together.
PTI’s long march is something that the government should be mindful of while making pronouncements about it. “As partners in a coalition government, they should make choices together”, he added.
He asserted that by running in both local and national elections, the current coalition could become even stronger. Politicians, he argued, must state the truth in front of the public; otherwise, they put themselves and their careers at risk.
It was claimed by him that Imran Khan was organising sizeable crowds, but he had done little to improve Pakistan’s economic situation.
After supporting PTI, he stated the establishment suddenly became terrible when it renounced politics.
Shah believes the National Accountability Bureau should exist but thinks its statutes should be revised. In order to have a general election, “we need to implement the required constitutional revisions and electoral reforms promptly,” he stated.
