It’s worth noting that Pakistan has received the initial shipment of 100,000 metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) from Russia. In a communication on X (formerly Twitter), the Russian Embassy in Pakistan stated that Moscow has delivered the first batch of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), amounting to 100,000 metric tons, to Pakistan.
This LPG shipment entered Pakistan through Iran’s Sarakh’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ), and further discussions are underway between Pakistan and Russia for the second LPG shipment.
According to the reports, Pakistan temporarily suspended its imports of Russian crude oil due to the refining process yielding more furnace oil than petrol in August. Concurrently, they were actively negotiating a long-term agreement with Russia for oil imports at discounted rates.
