VILNIUS: Lithuania has briefed its NATO allies about a drone incident reported overnight as discussions continue over measures to strengthen security along the alliance’s eastern flank, Defence Minister Kęstutis Budrys said.
Budrys said he had informed NATO partners about the incident and that consultations were underway over possible steps to reinforce the alliance’s eastern defences.
However, the minister did not immediately provide further details about the drone, including its origin, flight path or whether Lithuanian authorities had established who operated it.
