Lithium battery prices for solar systems have dropped sharply in Lahore. The decline covers batteries used in on-grid, hybrid and off-grid systems.
Market sources said prices have fallen by Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 100,000. The drop could offer relief to consumers planning new solar installations.
Major Drop in Battery Prices
The price of a 5kW lithium battery has fallen from Rs. 250,000 to Rs. 230,000.
Meanwhile, the price of a 16kW lithium battery has dropped from Rs. 750,000 to Rs. 650,000.
Therefore, consumers can now purchase larger battery systems at significantly lower prices.

The battery price decline comes as more consumers consider off-grid solar systems.
Recent changes to the net metering policy have also encouraged consumers to explore alternative solar setups.
At the same time, falling prices for solar panels and lithium batteries have increased market demand.
