A Wildlife Department team has safely captured a leopard in the Katli Bagh area of Union Council Bagnotar on the outskirts of Abbottabad. Officials carried out the operation after receiving repeated complaints from local residents about the animal’s presence near the settlement.
According to Wildlife Abbottabad SDFO Sardar Muhammad Nawaz, the leopard had frequently approached populated areas. Residents reported that the animal had repeatedly attacked livestock, causing concern among the local community.
Residents Report Repeated Livestock Attacks
The Wildlife Department received several complaints regarding the leopard’s movements near homes and grazing areas. Officials said the animal’s presence created fear among residents and increased the risk of further livestock losses.
Local villagers informed authorities that the leopard had killed and injured several animals. Consequently, the department launched efforts to track and safely capture the wild animal.
Wildlife officials monitored the area before carrying out the operation. Their efforts eventually led to the successful capture of the leopard without harm to nearby residents.
