ISLAMABAD: Who ordered shifting of Imran Khan to Attock Jail instead of Adiala Jail. The Islamabad High Court has asked this question from the authorities concerned.
When Judge Humayun Dilawar asked the authorities to arrest Imran Khan after his conviction and shift him to Adiala jail.
The IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq also directed the assistant advocate general to identify the competent authority regarding prisoners’ transfers. The chief justice sought a report by August 11 (Friday). Justice Farooq issued the order during the hearing of PTI’s plea on Wednesday.

Imran Khan’s plea seeks a transfer from one prison to another following his arrest on August 5 in connection with the Toshakhana case conviction.
The petitioner urged the court to shift Imran Khan to Adiala Jail from Attock Jail. And he also demanded the provision of A-Class amenities for Imran Khan. He also sought permission for a medical evaluation by his personal physician, Dr. Faisal Sultan.
Chief Justice of the IHC acknowledged that due to the absence of a jail in Islamabad, detainees are kept in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. He further inquired about the process of transferring a prisoner from one jail to another.
As per the order of Judge Humayun Dilawar, the PTI leader was supposed to be sent to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi. However, the former prime minister has been kept in Attock jail.
Advocate Sher Afzal Marwat informed the court that the government can relocate a prisoner to any jail within Punjab.
