The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a comprehensive forecast detailing rainfall expectations across various regions of the country.
While most parts of Pakistan are anticipated to experience hot and dry weather, Islamabad and its surrounding areas are likely to see thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall.
Additionally, there are predictions of thunderstorms with rainfall in some areas of upper Punjab, as well as scattered rainfall expected in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
In the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, and Mansehra, rainfall is expected.
Similarly, thunderstorms and rainfall are forecasted for areas such as Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, and Karak within KPK.
Moving to northern Punjab, cities including Rawalpindi, Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, and Jhelum are likely to experience rainfall.
Central Punjab, encompassing regions like Khushab, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Qasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujrat, Mianwali, Lahore, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Vehari, Sialkot, Narowal, and Gujranwala, is also expected to receive rainfall.
In southern Punjab, areas such as Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, and Tonsa are forecasted to witness thunderstorms and rainfall.
Furthermore, rainfall is anticipated in Balochistan, covering major cities like Quetta, Kalat, Loralai, and Awaran, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
The weather forecast additionally predicts rainfall in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Mohmand, Khyber, and Orakzai districts of KPK province. Meanwhile, most districts of Balochistan and Sindh are expected to remain under hot and dry conditions.
