The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted light rainfall in several parts of the country and snowfall in upper mountainous areas. While most regions will see dry weather and cool nights, isolated showers are expected in areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On Monday, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, and Galiyat may experience overcast skies with rain and light snowfall in higher regions. In the Pothohar region and northeastern Punjab, partly cloudy skies with potential rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are likely.
Skardu and Gupis are already approaching freezing temperatures. Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Shangla are expected to experience rain with thunderstorms, and snowfall in higher altitudes.
Punjab remains on smog alert, with dense fog expected overnight. Balochistan and Sindh will mostly have dry, cool weather in mountainous areas. Over the past 24 hours, the majority of the country reported dry conditions, with smog impacting much of Punjab.
For Karachi, the PMD forecasts fog on Monday and Tuesday, which may reduce visibility. Sea breezes and winds from Balochistan are expected. Minimum temperatures in Karachi will be around 21°C, with highs between 33°C and 35°C over the next three days. Other districts in Sindh may experience warm and dry conditions due to residual fog.
