Lahore
Recent rainfall in Lahore increased humidity but did not significantly change the weather. It did, however, cause several LESCO feeders to trip, resulting in power outages in Green Town, Garden Town, and Kot Lakhpat. Efforts are ongoing to restore power, and all organizations are on high alert to implement the rain emergency plan effectively. Rain is forecasted for today, tomorrow, and the day after.
Karachi
Karachi continues to endure intense heat and humidity, with the current temperature at 31°C and a heat index of 39°C. Humidity is at 83%, making the weather quite uncomfortable. An improvement is expected once the sea breeze resumes this evening. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz noted that a low-pressure area in the south, which was supposed to move a couple of days ago, has yet to dissipate but is expected to do so today and shift towards Oman. This change should bring some relief to Karachi residents, with a possibility of light rain and thunder. However, the weather will remain very hot and humid over the next 24 hours.
