The Met Department has forecasted that today will be predominantly hot and dry across most of Pakistan, with sporadic rainfall anticipated in select regions, notably in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Kashmir, and the hilly areas.
In northern areas, cities such as Abbottabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Battagram, Swat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to experience rain, offering temporary relief from the heat. Tourist destinations like Murree and Galiyat, along with their surroundings, are also likely to see rain and thunderstorms.
Islamabad and its neighboring areas are forecasted to remain partly cloudy, with no significant rainfall expected. However, rain is possible in the southeastern districts of Sindh, including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Mithi, and Tharparkar. The rest of Sindh is expected to remain hot and dry.
In Lahore and other parts of Punjab, monsoon rains are continuing, with intermittent showers predicted throughout Thursday. Lahore is likely to experience occasional rain today. The current temperature in Lahore is 26°C, with humidity at 80%. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 33°C, while the minimum will be around 25°C.
This ongoing monsoon spell is anticipated to persist into the following day, leading to a significant drop in temperatures and making the weather more pleasant across Punjab. Overall, while hot and dry conditions will prevail in many areas, the northern and southeastern regions can expect some relief from the heat through localized rainfall.
