Waqar Nawaz, the brother of acclaimed actor-director duo Yasir and Danish Nawaz, has passed away, as confirmed by Yasir Nawaz in a heartfelt post on his Instagram Stories in the early hours of Tuesday.
Without disclosing specific details surrounding the cause of death, Yasir shared the news of the loss with deep sorrow, requesting prayers for the departed soul. He also informed followers that the funeral (Janazah) prayer will be held today, June 24, after Zuhr prayers at 1:30 PM at Rehmania Masjid on Tariq Road in Karachi.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved and kind-hearted brother Waqar Nawaz,” Yasir wrote. “May Allah (SWT) forgive his sins, bless him with a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and grant strength and patience to the family. Ameen.”
He concluded by requesting everyone to include Waqar in their prayers.
Waqar Nawaz was one of four siblings in the Nawaz family, alongside Yasir Nawaz, Danish Nawaz, and Dr. Faraz Nawaz. They also have a sister named Anzalna. The family hails from a distinguished lineage in Pakistani television; their father, the late Fareed Nawaz Baloch, was a respected veteran actor renowned for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
