CHAKWAL: Chakwal police have registered a case against two teachers from a local seminary following accusations of sexually assaulting and torturing students.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the father of one victim claimed that Zeeshan and Anis, two seminary teachers, had sexually assaulted and tortured 14 students, including his son. The FIR outlined that the suspects used threats and knives to make marks on the students’ bodies.
After the FIR was filed, the police conducted a raid and apprehended one of the suspects, Anis. However, the other suspect, Zeeshan, is still at large.
This incident is reminiscent of a similar case in 2021 when a seminary teacher in Rawalpindiโs Pirwadhai was arrested for sexually assaulting and torturing a student. Mufti Shahnawaz Ahmed faced charges following a complaint by the victimโs father. The victim reported that the teacher had been attempting to harass her for several months. After resisting his advances, she was tortured and drugged, leading to unconsciousness. The father learned of the incident when he received a call from the seminary asking him to pick up his daughter, who had blacked out.
