TULAMBA/ISLAMABAD: A shocking incident has been reported from the Tulamba area of Punjab, where two orphaned sisters were brutally assaulted and had their fingers burned for allegedly stealing books from a madrassa.
The mother of the girls claimed that the individuals named Mudassir and Maqsood, along with others, tortured her daughters. She reported that the girls were taken to a tent, tied with ropes, and hung.
She further alleged that the assailants later handed both her and her daughters over to the police. “The police released me and my daughters on the condition that there would be no medical examination,” she stated.
The mother has accused the authorities of neglect, insisting that a medical examination and justice for her daughters are necessary. She also mentioned that the girls have been denied any medical or psychological support following the trauma.
DSP Saleem Rath confirmed that the girls were accused of stealing books from the madrasa and passing them to someone else. He noted that the incident occurred a few days ago and assured that an investigation is underway.
DSP Rath promised a transparent inquiry, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
Meanwhile, a case of alleged gang rape involving a second-year student has been reported in the Alipur Chattha area of Wazirabad.
The chief minister has pledged that those responsible will be brought to justice.
Following the registration of the case, the police acted swiftly and arrested one of the two suspects. The search for the second suspect is ongoing.
The case was initiated based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father.
According to the father’s statement to the police, his daughter was kidnapped by the suspects when she went to college to take an exam.
She was subsequently subjected to gang rape, and the attackers recorded videos of the assault. The culprits later used the videos to blackmail her, repeatedly calling her.
