PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD: In a historic move, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after a compromising video of a transgender, Dolphin Ayan, went viral.
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Hashtnagri police station based on Ayan’s account, detailing that in 2023, Ayan was abducted at gunpoint in Shabqadar by Imran and six others.
The kidnappers recorded an indecent video of Ayan in their room and used it to blackmail Ayan.
Ayan first noticed the video’s circulation on social media on October 29 and claims the accused have continued to contact them. Dolphin Ayan expressed that the video’s release has caused significant harm to her reputation and family honor.
Police are currently working to apprehend Imran and his accomplices.
On Thursday, Dolphin Ayan hit the mainstream media and social media, claiming that her video has been leaked to damage her image.
Ayan has filed a case with the police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
