School Bus
In a tragic incident, a schoolgirl lost her life, and at least 20 others were injured when a school bus fell into a ravine near the Shahdara area of Islamabad on Saturday.
Police confirmed the fatality and the number of injured students, revealing that the pupils were on a school trip from Sheikhupura to the federal capital when the accident occurred. The bus, carrying 39 students, resulted in the immediate death of a girl.

Rescue teams swiftly reached the accident site and transported the injured students to hospitals, with thirteen taken to Poly Clinic Hospital and eight to PIMS Hospital. As of the latest report, details about the remaining students were still unknown.
Providing additional information about the incident, the police mentioned that the bus’s engine was running while the driver was outside. Unexpectedly, the bus began moving downhill and ultimately ended up in a ditch.
This unfortunate event follows a road accident earlier in the month on Karachi’s Sharea Faisal, where a speeding bus lost control, hitting a family on a motorcycle and other pedestrians. The result was one woman killed and eight individuals, including children, wounded.
The casualties were promptly shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where the deceased was identified as 30-year-old Masooma, and the injured included her husband, a three-year-old child named Malik Athar, and a one-year-old named Abbas.
