PML-Q leader Pervaiz Elahi’s lawsuit against Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Mohmmad Mazari’s July 22 verdict in the provincial chief minister election will be heard by a three-member court on Tuesday (today).
On the PA deputy speaker’s ruling case, the Supreme Court ruled, “The request for a full court bench is dismissed.”
Apex Court denied coalition government request to convene full bench on petitions on Monday following day-long hearing, causing the latter to boycott hearings at courthouse.
The case is being heard by a three-judge panel, including Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Munib Akhtar.
According to an order from the Supreme Court, the Punjab CM, Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari, and other attorneys have requested further time in the case. Court officials approved defense attorneys’ requests for additional time to prepare for the July 26 trial.
This is a developing story.
