ISLAMABAD: The Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Cevdet Yilmaz, visits Pakistan Today. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Vice President Yilmaz will collaboratively inaugurate the fourth MILGEM Class Corvette.
The MILGEM project, which began in 2018, aims to build four Corvettes for the Pakistan Navy – two in Pakistan and two in Turkiye. In November 2022, the Prime Minister attended the launch ceremony of the third Naval Corvette, PNS Khyber, in Istanbul.In August 2021 and May 2022, respectively, Istanbul and Karachi witnessed the launch of the first two Corvettes, PNS Babur and PNS Badar.
Strengthening Bonds: Pakistan-Turkey Collaboration And The MILGEM Project
