Former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, had two sons, a relative, and four drivers arrested in Islamabad. A case has been filed against them for issuing severe threats.
The Margalla police took action based on a complaint from Shehraz Khan, a resident of Orchard Lane Scheme on Murree Road in Islamabad. According to the FIR, Sardar Afif Sagar, Sardar Umar Tanveer, Sardar Usman Tanveer, Sardar Osama Tanveer, Sardar Ahmed Tanveer, and 15-20 of their associates were driving recklessly and blocking the road beyond Jinnah Avenue.
The complainant, Shehraz Khan, reported that after he managed to get his vehicle ahead of the group, they stopped him and threatened to kill him, also causing damage to his vehicle.
During the operation, police seized five vehicles equipped with police lights. The incident occurred late at night as the complainant was traveling from Faisal Avenue towards F-10 and encountered a convoy of 15-20 vehicles blocking the road.
The police registered a case against the accused, including charges for issuing serious threats. They also recovered weapons, ammunition, and the vehicles used by the accused. However, reports about the arrest of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas himself have been denied by the Islamabad police.
