Husband Seeks Justice For Khadijah Shah’s Detention In Lahore High Court

Jehanzeb Amin, the spouse of Khadijah Shah, a supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has contested the detention order imposed on his wife following the May 9 incident.
Shah was placed under a 30-day detention under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) 3 by the Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) in relation to the event. Amin’s legal challenge argues that the MPO order is founded on unfounded allegations, branding it a violation of the law.
The petition, submitted in the Lahore High Court, lists various respondents, including the federal government and Lahore DC. Amin seeks the court’s intervention to prevent Khadijah Shah from being moved beyond Lahore’s boundaries, asserting that the court’s detention notification is unlawful.
