Sindh CM Orders Swift Action on Theft at Rama Pir Temple, Demands Recovery Reports

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the theft of idols and other valuables from the “Rama Pir” temple in Tando Adam. He has demanded a detailed report from the relevant authorities. This incident has raised significant concerns among the local community, prompting immediate action from the highest level of provincial leadership.

According to a statement issued from CM House, Shah instructed the IG Police to prioritize the recovery of all stolen items, including the sacred idols, and to submit a comprehensive report to him without delay. He underscored the importance of swift action in such cases to maintain public trust and ensure justice is served.

Murad Ali Shah emphasized that any mistreatment or high-handedness towards minorities would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He reiterated his government’s commitment to protecting the rights and safety of all minority communities in Sindh.

In addition to this, the Chief Minister directed the IG Sindh to provide a detailed progress report on the recovery of a child who was abducted three days ago from Pano Aqil. He also sought a comprehensive report regarding the recovery of all abductees over the last three days, highlighting his administration’s focus on addressing abduction cases promptly and effectively.

Shah also ordered an increase in police patrols in Karachi and other areas with high crime rates to enhance public safety and deter criminal activities. The IG Police was asked to send detailed updates on the operations being carried out in the Katcha areas of the province to the CM Secretariat.

The Rama Pir temple, situated in the heart of Tando Allahyar in Sindh, is one of the third largest pilgrimage sites for Hindus in the region. This significant pilgrimage center attracts thousands of local Hindus who come to express their devotion to their revered deity, making it a crucial part of the local cultural and religious landscape.
