RAWALPINDI: A man in Rawalpindi has been sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty of harassing and blackmailing a woman and unlawfully sharing her photos on the internet.
The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Waris Javed on a Saturday. The man, identified as Nouman Atta, has also been fined Rs400,000 as part of his punishment.

Nouman Atta was convicted under the provisions of sections 21 and 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act. The case against him was initiated in February of the current year by the Federal Investigation Agency’s Rawalpindi division and was pursued by Director Law Sikandar Zaman on behalf of the FIA.
His conviction was based on the act of sharing intimate photos and videos of a woman on the internet without her consent. Following the verdict, Nouman Atta has been confined to Adiala Jail to serve a non-rigorous imprisonment sentence.
Police Apprehend Pedophile In Ichhra
Meanwhile, the police discovered evidence of the suspectโs involvement in the kidnapping of a five-year-old girl from Lahore, revealing him to be a pedophile who had sexually exploited four more girls.
They identified the suspect by showing his picture to 19 children in the area.
On the evening of October 26, an individual named Muhibullah abducted a five-year-old girl from the Ichhra area of Lahore with the intent of sexually assaulting her near Bhaati Gate. He was apprehended when the girl raised an alarm.
The mother of the abducted girl stated, โAfter the closed-circuit footage of the accused emerged, we showed the picture to 16 children.โ
The police interrogated the suspect, leading them to Muhibullahโs residence.
