ISLAMABAD: PTI Senator Azam Khan Swati’s farmhouse in Islamabad has been sealed for violating the building laws..
The PTI leader’s farmhouse was sealed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday. The CDA officials said the property was sealed for violating house-building laws.
The Capital Development Authority first issued a final notice to wife of Azam Swati last month for violating law in construction on their farmhouse in Chak Shehzad, Islamabad and then sealed it on Saturday.
The sudden development surfaced today when Sindh police took Azam Swati into its custody after PTI Senator was released from Balochistan on the order of Balochistan High Court.
Two cases have been registered in Sindh against Azam Swati and he will be shifted to Karachi.
According to sources, PTI Senator Swati will be shifted to Sindh through a special aircraft.
Former deputy speaker of National Assembly and a PTI leader Qasim Khan Suri denounced the Sindh government’s action soon after the BHC’s order favouring the senator.
Sealing for farmhouse in Islamabad will be another shock for Azam Swati and PTI leaders.
