Islamabad: In a core committee meeting held in Islamabad on Monday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) affirmed its decision to actively engage in opposition politics at both the provincial and federal levels.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, while conveying the party’s stance, emphasized the commitment to pursue parliamentary politics rather than resorting to boycotts or resignations.
During the meeting, the core committee instructed party members to refrain from chanting slogans against the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), indicating a strategic approach to maintain decorum in political discourse.
PTI’s strategy entails asserting robust opposition to the incumbent government in the National Assembly, Senate, and Punjab Assembly, signaling a proactive role in holding the ruling party accountable.
Barrister Gohar reiterated the party’s intent to engage in constitutional and legal avenues of political dissent, pledging to champion the interests of the public through constructive opposition efforts.
The PTI’s decision underscores a commitment to uphold democratic principles while advocating for the welfare of the masses through parliamentary means.
