PTI leader Yasmin Rashid made 41 calls on May 9: Lahore police to challenge her acquittal
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid made 41 phone-calls on May 9, the day when PTI supporters ransacked Lahore Corps Commander’s office, etc.
Inspector-General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar disclosed this in a press conference in Lahore.
He said, “At the time of the attack on Jinnah House, a total of 315 calls were recorded and among them, 41 calls of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader Dr Yasmin Rashid were taped as well.

IG Punjab Police said that the police would challenge the acquittal of Dr. Yasmin Rashid in the Lahore Corps Commander residence attack case.
He said, Hammad Azhar made 10 calls, ex-MPA Mahmood-ur-Rashid made 75 calls, Senator Ejaz Chaudhary did 50 calls.
Meanwhile, former Punjab minister Aslam Iqbal made 16 calls while Murad Ras made 23 phone-calls.
IG Punjab claimed that Dr. Rashid was one of the main PTI leaders involved in the attack on the Jinnah House.
Punjab Police chief also showed videos to the media showing presence of Dr Rashid and her statements of incitement on the occasion of the attack on Jinnah House.
ATC acquits Dr. Yasim Rashid
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore acquitted Dr. Yasmin Rashid from the Jinnah House attack case. The ATC Judge said that no incriminating material was available that shows her involvement in the case.
However, Lahore Police Chief said that they would challenge the decision in the high court.
NAB summons Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi
The National Accountability Bureau has summoned former prime minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi on June 7. The Bureau called them for the investigations of the £190 million settlement case. It includes transferring funds from Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) account to Pakistan.
According to NAB, the investigation team of the Bureau has summoned Bushra Bibi aka Pinki Pirni to record her statement as a witness for being the trustee of the Al-Qadir University Trust.
